Australia for many years has not had the influence like the UK and USA of the Ouija board. Australians for some time have been very much into clairvoyance and mediums.
The board is not banned in Australia but the main manufacturers of
the Ouija and other boards realised the resistance to the board by
groups anti these devices many years earlier. Due to small sales these
boards never really made it to the Australian market.

What scientific proof that they work..Well I cant answer that because I don't Know.
If I could prove it I am sure I could make more money than my family would ever need. I don't know how a car works or why a headache tablet works or why the sun hasn't burnt out after billions of years. In respect to peoples beliefs I don't know why certain religious miracles happen either but they seem too.
I respect what works for people and don't question as its just to easy to describe something as falseness or fraud just because we don't understand.
The ouija is part of that. Use with the knowledge that we don't understand the forces behind it. Its not a a game and some understanding should be applied prior to use.
And another tip, boards sold on this site should be used only by adults, and not for the play time fun of children or the late night alcohol fuelled pubescent dorm activity that we so often hear about third hand.
The Ouija will survive and remain an item of mystery, that can be viewed as a collectible or that item one has that others are just not sure about. Enjoy the Ouija its just made out of wood, or similar and for those that believe in its power is only as tool . For others a cultural item and a nice piece of history and art.
As for the paranormal, below is my experience with the Ouija, this experience is similar to millions of others and it highlighted the question that William Fuld muttered over a century ago...its a game ...or is it.

Positive feelings from the angel board
Here is my experience...
I heard many stories but I have actually never met anyone whom has had a bad experience.
This night no different than many others started with my curiosity on a personal question relating to career. My partner and wife seem to be the focus during this session with this board it seemed to just humor me enough almost to the point of ignoring me. I asked the questions it responded in a strange way, the answers didn't follow any particular line of question .
Then the name of my wife's brother came up and the focus quickly moved from my questioning.
The board was obsessed with my wife , she sat there just going with the board not uttering anything more that the odd bit of commentary . I asked for it to focus on the questioning and asked if it was a good spirit. the reply was no and I quickly ended the divination by asking it to return from where it came and said goodbye.
A week later out came the board again , this night it was quick to react much quicker than normal the answer more precise and blunt.
again it focused on my wife's brother whom by the way is still alive and well .
My wife at this stage was turning pale and asked the question , "whom are you spirit"
The reply came back with a name , the name of her dearly loved departed mother.
We where stunned speechless , I said we do not need to go on but my wife insisted she wanted more information about her brother and it started to spell out obscenities severe obscenities.
If you knew my wife's loved mother she would not even utter such profanities at this time my wife to my surprise insisted that it was not her mother the board was adamant that it was and the obscenities continued. We ended it abruptly both in shock over the intensity this spirit came into our world.
The board was never used again . Life has not really been the same since . My advice be prepared to be deceived by the board. Know how to say goodbye and be prepared. Some spirit just like those in life will deceive we just happen to find a bad one.
Update: Never say never again we tried nearly two years later , this time using a larger Parker brothers board and the same thing happened. Interesting though we were both more relaxed and it didn't come as a shock to us. We asked it questions but found the remarks to continue like it did some 2 years earlier, we were much more composed this time and controlled the questions. The answered too seemed more controlled but uneasy.
We were able this time to with respect ask it to leave , and leave us alone. The answering became slower and not like the first time. I will keep you posted if we go back again.
